Wilcox-Hildreth and Axtell were in district golf compe- tition on May 15 at Cambridge Golf Course, both schools were in the hunt for state qualifiers but unfortunately were unable to send any.

The Falcons finished the afternoon with a team stroke score of 417. Eli Pistulka was the closest Falcon to qualify for state, missing out by three strokes with a final score of 92.

Gavin Patterson was the next closest finish for Wil- cox-Hildreth, finishing out the afternoon with a stroke score of 96.

Axtell finished the day with a stroke score of 449, Ethan Morgan was just three places away from quali- fying for state with a final stroke score of 92 which was good enough for 13th place.

Ashton Hawkins was the next closest Wildcat in the standing with a final stroke finish of 109.

Congratulations to all the golfers for both schools on a great season. Despite not making state, the golfers showed improvement all season.
