Concerns about the maintenance of the Minden city parks were brought to the attention of the council Monday evening.
The council meeting was rescheduled from April 19 due to lack of a quorum of the council.
Jeff Hansen and Mike Gokie, representing the Parks and Recreation Board, addressed the council regarding maintenance issues at the city parks.
Hansen told the council, although much work had been completed at Jaycee Park, the details were being neglected.
"Jaycee Park is the most visible park in Minden because of its location," said Hansen. "The field was in dire straits, but the turf has been fixed and the irrigation put in and it looks much better. Unfortunately, the details, trimming and weed control, playground equipment repair, and wood chip replacement, aren't getting done."
