The Kearney County Board of Supervisors began the August 7 meeting with a District 10 Probation update. Probation representatives Joe Budnik and Sue Kissinger spoke to the board.
Budnik began the presentation by informing the supervisors that Adams County has denied a computer purchase which will have an effect on Western counties in the district. He said he will continue to fight the decision.
District 10 Probation serves eight counties in Nebraska including Adams, Clay, Franklin, Harlan, Kearney, Nuckolls, Phelps, and Webster. Approximately 135 people are served by the office in Kearney County.
