In his first year competing in the Junior Division of the Kearney County Fair Livestock Show, Caleb Schwenka was recognized for his skills. This summer he is anxious to find out how far his hard work will get him his second year in the ring.
Caleb is an independent member of 4H with a heavy focus on livestock. He began showing bucket calves at age six and moved up to Junior Division last summer.
“Last year I showed my bucket calf from the year before. She was kind of wild at home because she was tired of being messed with but I ended up getting Reserve Champion Showman so I did pretty good at the fair,” Caleb said.
