Chief Financial Officer Kayla Rhynalds had good news for the KCHS Board of Trustees during the June 27 meeting. During the financial report, Rhynalds revealed May 2018 was the first month the facility had operated in the black in quite some time.
While operating revenue and expenses showed a loss for the month, non-operating revenue compensated the negative for a total net earning of $20,494 for the month. A large factor in the total was County dollars that helped offset expenses. Rhynalds told the board it is positive news and with the direction care is moving at the facility, they should continue to see improvement in the financials.
The annual audit is scheduled for the end of July. Results of the audit should be ready to present to the board at the August meeting. The board approved financials.
