Health Services Board of Trustees had quite a bit of new business to discuss during the May 30 meeting.
Chairman Dick McBride told the board he had received a note from the Treasurer’s Department asking for certified proof that he is authorized to sign documents for the hospital’s bonds that have matured. A resolution giving McBride this authority was approved unanimously.
The board was informed that the facility’s current Pyxis Machine uses XP software that is no longer supported by the vendor. An agreement to support the XP software for an additional 12 months at nearly twice the regular monthly service fee has kept the machine operational. KCHS has paid the higher fee for the last two months in order to maintain service, but a more permanent solution will require a software upgrade.
