The Kearney County Board of Supervisors met April 3 with a brief agenda. The meeting began with business from Zoning Administrator Joe Anderson.
The quarterly report showed no permits for the first quarter. Anderson gave the board a copy of the Zoning Regulations with proposed revisions. Most of the changes were made regarding solar power. An updated fee schedule was also presented to the board. A public hearing was set for May 8 for final review and consideration of the revised regulations.
Gravel bids were opened. The County received bids from Broadfoot Sand & Gravel, Inc. and Mid-Nebraska Aggregates. Broadfoot Sand & Gravel, Inc. included prices for gravel using both the bidder’s loader and the County’s loader for delivery. Gravel prices from both companies had increased approximately 25 cents per square yard from last year. Both bids were accepted by the supervisors.
