Carin (Christensen) Doseck of Lima, Ohio, born March 21, 1951, in Minden, to Dale and Patricia (Brady) Christensen died suddenly on July 9, 2012, from a heart-related illness in Omaha while visiting family.
She was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, mentor and professional. Although her life was short, she had a profound impact on so many.

She took over as the supervisor and coordinator of the program in 1978. By 1986 she was named the director of Career Tech and served in that capacity until her retirement in 2009.
Carin was a great lady and a strong advocate for our children. She worked so very hard for Career Tech and made it the great program that it is today. Carin was a huge asset and will be missed by her Lima City Schools family.
She served on many community boards and worked tirelessly for the Lima Breakfast Optimists on the annual geranium sale, their fundraiser for Lima City Schools scholarships. She worked at the state level on career initiatives and was instrumental in securing grants and funding for Career and Technical Education.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Doseck of Lima, Ohio; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffree and Rebecca Pitts of Bellevue; stepchildren, Keith, Kelly and Katie Doseck; grandsons, Adrian and Grant Pitts of Bellevue; granddaughter, Kristen of Lima, Ohio; grandson, Jason of Florida; two great-grandsons; mother, Patricia Christensen of Minden; sisters, Cathy Patton of Schroon Lake, N.Y.; Colleen Christensen and husband, Steve Adams of rural Otoe and Carole Ekstrom of Lincoln; and brothers, Steve and wife, Suzann, of Kearney, Kevin and Nancy of Minden and David and wife, Maggie of Omaha; several nieces and nephews and lots of friends.

A family memorial service was held Wednesday, July 11 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Minden, her hometown church, with Pastor Don Hunzeker officiating.
