Supervisors Hold Reorganizational Meeting |

The Kearney County Supervisors began the January 8 meeting with reorganizational business. Richard Schwenka was voted Chairman and Larry Landstrom was voted Vice Chairman. Roberts Rule of Order was adopted and the board moved on to board and committee appointments. Kevin Raun was appointed to the Planning Commission to fill the vacancy left by Boyd Jacobsen. The remaining positions were filled by reappointments for the length of the term. With a new supervisor, there was some shifting in the Committee Appointments. Wayne Anderson was named Chairman of the Board of Equalization, Robert Swanson was named Vice Chairman. Building and Grounds Chairman is Anderson, Vice is William Pittner, and Ross Bruning was added to the committee. Brent Stewart replaced Anderson in Bills and Claims.
