Audubon Nebraska is excited to announce Platte Basin Timelapse co-founder Michael Farrell as our lunchtime speaker on Friday, March 22, during the 2019 crane festival. Mike will be joining Lili Taylor and David Mizejewski in our lineup of speakers.
Farrell, along with Michael Forsberg Photography, generated the ideas behind the Platte Basin Timelapse Project. Now in its 12th year, this project uses time-lapse technology applied through an entire watershed to document water use along the Platte River Basin.
Michael Farrell is an assistant professor of Practice in the Agricultural Leadership, Educations, and Communications Department at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is also a 48-year veteran of public media, most of which have been spent in the production and management of documentaries about the culture, history, and environment of Nebraska and the Great Plains.
