The Minden City Council held a special meeting August 2 to choose an electronic payment processing vendor and fee structure. The City currently has approximately 1600 accounts for residential and commercial customers. Nearly 300 accounts are paid through automatic withdrawal. The City would like to provide electronic payment capability to customers for convenience to both customers and staff. Of four vendors that were researched, two were seriously considered. Payment Services Network (PSN) and Paymentus were compared side by side for the council’s consideration. Both vendors provide in person, online, mobile app, automated phone, and agent assisted phone payment capabilities. PSN also offers text payment services.
