The end of the school year is a busy time for teachers as they wrap up lesson plans, administer final tests, work around full activity schedules, and try to keep students on task. For Ed Rowse the final months of school are busier than years past as he begins learning the ropes of his new position as Activities Director in addition to his regular duties as Physical Education teacher at East Elementary.
With 29 years in education, 24 years in Minden, Rowse is ready to take on his new position in the district. He received his Administrative Degree in 2014 in anticipation of the chance to be an administrator in education.
“I always felt I would try something different especially when I was getting my Masters. I knew there was only one position here in Minden and I was hopeful I would get it. I’m very glad I did because Minden is our home,” Rowse said.
