C.L. Jones Middle School eighth grade Journalism and Linguistics classes announced February 8 that a premier of their short film “The Pride of Being Us” will be held next month in the MPS Performing Arts Center. The event will include a presentation of the film, snacks, photo opportunities, a kids zone, and samples of the students’ work.
“It’s a red carpet theme and there will be snacks. There will also be samples of our work there,” Molly Burchell stated.
“The attire is requested formal, but not required. There’s going to be a Kids Zone with coloring pages and things like that so you can bring your children. There will be a VIP area with a raffle and a photo booth. We decided no nuts in the snacks so anyone with a nut allergy can come and enjoy the snacks too,” Peyton Schoone added. “It’s free and you can donate to journalism if you want to.”
