A year can be measured in months or weeks or days, but it’s the events that take place throughout the year that make every 365 days unique. Take a trip down memory lane as the Minden Courier looks back on the events that made up 2017 in Kearney County in a three part series.
The year began with strong winds that caused damage across the county and surrounding areas. The National Weather Service confirmed a tornado southeast of Minden and wind speeds averaged 62 mph across the area.
The Minden Opera House was the final stop for the Nebraska Sonata Project’s season. The free concert hosted in Minden featured three musicians who met at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln performing original works of composers from Nebraska.
