Students at C.L. Jones Middle School have recently been providing Minden and surrounding communities with a small gift. With the use of StrivTV, the kids have been able to stream Minden Public Schools activities and sports live on the internet. When patrons visit the website, they can virtually attend football games, basketball games, concerts, classrooms, and more.
This gives individuals a chance to see their grandkids, friends, and former students compete and take part in high school events. With slick roads, cold weather, illnesses, or long distances, it can be difficult to attend all activities, but the Whippet Nation Network crew makes it possible for viewers to tune in on their computers, tablets, or cell phones and catch the action live.
A small group of CLJMS 7th and 8th graders have been volunteering their time to set up equipment, film the events, run the computer, and even commentate certain games. Their dedication and excitement has truly taken the program further than the sponsors ever thought possible. Shawn Wheelock and Whitney Maulsby are proud of what their CLJMS students have done by joining the Whippet Nation Network team.
