As a new year begins, The Minden Courier invites our readers to reflect on the changes, growth, and accomplishments that took place in Kearney County in 2018. This is the final of a three part series looking back at some of the noteworthy events that affected our communities last year.
Be the Gift Nebraska was one of ten charities to receive a $5,000 donation as part of the Bayer Cereal Experts Grain for Good Sweepstakes. Terry Sorensen, a cereals grower from Minden selected Be the Gift as a recipient of the generous donation.
Kearney County Health Services was recognized by the Nebraska Hospital Association for their work to improve quality of care as part of national Partnership for Patients’ Hospital Improvement Innovation Network initiative. The Nebraska Hospital Association and 69 Nebraska hospitals partner with The Health Research and Educational Trust of the American Hospital Association in this important work.
