The Minden Chamber of Commerce will not only be welcoming the Sandhill cranes as they migrate through Central Nebraska, but hopes to play host to many of the visitors to the area as well with its Cranefest Celebration. Several activities have been planned to entertain our local and visiting crane enthusiasts.
For our local crane enthusiasts, as well as those in our community that have not yet witnessed the wonder the of the Sandhill cranes up close, please join us Tuesday, March 15th for Minden Night at Rowe Sanctuary. We will meet at the IGA parking lot at 5:45 p.m., and then caravan out to Rowe for the evening viewing. Tickets are only $15 per person. Space is limited, so call the Chamber office to reserve your spot.
We are kicking off our Cranefest celebration with a pancake feed on Sunday, March 20th at the Kearney County Fairgrounds from 10:00 am to 1:00 p.m.. Join us after your early morning of observing the cranes. The pancake feed is sponsored by the Minden Lions Club along with a freewill offering to benefit our community baseball program.
