Randy Miller - March 18, 2013

Randall Miller, 61 years of age from Minden, died Monday, March 18, 2013, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
Randy was born Aug. 27, 1951, in Minden to George and Erma (White) Miller.
He grew up in the Minden area and graduated from Minden High School in 1970.
On Dec. 2, 1972, he married Debra Strolberg. They lived in the Minden area and were blessed with two children, Josh and Jody.
Randy was proud to have been a partner of Miller The Driller and also of the fact that he had worked there from age 16. He enjoyed going to work but because of declining eyesight and health the past two years, he wasn’t able to do all he wanted.
He loved his children and adored his grandchildren. His granddaughter was born just one day before his death. He is her guardian angel.
Randy loved being around people but most of all his family. He enjoyed attending auctions, bartering, and acquiring windmills. He had a great love for his cats. He loved the month of February, not because of Valentine’s Day, but because of Well Drillers Convention. He looked forward to the convention every year.
Survivors include his wife, Debra of Minden; son, Josh Miller and wife, Lisa of Kearney; daughter, Jody Miller of Lincoln; grandchildren, Drake, Zane and Hynlee Miller; brothers, Jim and Jon Miller, both of Minden; sisters, Sally Pittner, Susan Lempka, Rebecca Miller, Anne Dorn and Laura Martinez, all of Minden, and Frances Buesher of Lawrence; mother-in-law, Marjorie Strolberg of Kearney; brother-in-law, David Strolberg and wife, Cheryl of Axtell.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ted, three nephews and two nieces.
Rosary was recited March 20 at the church.
Memorial services were March 21 at the St. John’s Catholic Church in Minden with Father Nicholas Baker officiating.
Layton-Craig Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
