Mabel Kumke - February 02, 2013

Mabel Valjean (Harms) Kumke, 84, of Minden, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at Kearney County Long Term Care in Minden.
Mabel was born May 19, 1928, to Harm and Kate (Bunger) Harms in rural Hildreth.
She attended school in Franklin County.
She married Delton L. Kumke on March 9, 1950, at Hildreth.
They farmed south of Campbell for several years and south of Upland for ten years. They then purchased D & M Meat Locker in Campbell and operated it for 26 years.
She enjoyed gardening, flowers, playing cards and bingo and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her sons, Allen (Carol) Kumke, Campbell and Arlen (Nancy) Kumke, Bladen; daughter, Linda Silvrants, Minden; grandchildren, Robert (Michelle) Kumke, Brenda (David) Garlewicz, Scott (Dina) Silvrants, Jason Silvrants, Jessica Kumke, James (Jen) Kumke, Kila Kumke and Travis Kumke; great-grandchildren, Devyn, Dylan, Tyler and Maddisyn Silvrants, Payton Janelli, Julianna Garlewicz, Mya and Jaedyn Silvrants, Xander Cook, Kaylee Kumke, Kaizlyn Kumke, Barrett Kumke, John Thomas and Rebecca Phillips.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband on Aug. 12, 1998; an infant sister, six brothers, four sisters, several aunts and uncles, son-in-law, Arvene Silvrants; grandson, Justin Kumke and great-granddaughter, Jasmyne Silvrants.
Funeral services were Feb. 7 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Campbell with the Rev. Ronald Kuehner officiating.
Burial was in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery southwest of Campbell.

Campbell Funeral Home in Campbell was in charge of arrangements.
