David Eberle - January 01, 2013

David C. Eberle, 67 years of age from Minden, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at Kearney County Health Services-Hospital shortly after being admitted.
David was born Jan. 24, 1945, in Mason City to Charles and Marie (Nielsen) Eberle.
He grew up in the Mason City area and attended school in Mason City.
He moved to Broken Bow and worked at Becton-Dickinson.
On Sept. 17, 1967, he married Elaine Garska and they moved to Minden in 1970.
David worked for Miller The Driller, Minden Co-op and then for Cargill in Heartwell until retiring in 2006 due to poor health.
David received a heart transplant in 2008.
He enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing but mostly his children and grandchildren.
He was an active member of the Riverbend Christian Fellowship of Grand Island.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine of Minden; sons, Charles Eberle and wife, Amy and Paul Eberle and wife, Dawn, all of Minden; daughter, Tina Mason and husband, Richard of Adkins, Texas; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and sisters, Betty Beno of Minden and Shirley Jones of Ansley.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, a nephew, three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were Jan. 5 at the Layton-Craig Funeral Home in Minden with Pastor Fred Davis officiating.
Graveside services were at the Madison Square Cemetery near Taylor.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
Layton-Craig Funeral Home in Minden was in charge of arrangements.
