VerJean Hubbert - May 24, 2012

VerJean J. Hubbert, 82, of Kearney, died Thursday, May 24, 2012, at St. John’s Good Samaritan Center in Kearney.
VerJean was born Sept. 23, 1929, in Minden to Dan and Clara (Thomson) Olsen.
She grew up in rural Kearney County then moved to Kearney where she attended school and graduated from Kearney High School in 1948.
VerJean worked at ABC Drug for a couple of years.
On Nov. 27, 1955, she married Wallace D. Hubbert in Kearney.
She and her husband farmed and ranched west of Kearney. Her husband died in 1989 and she moved to Kearney in 1992.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Kearney and was formerly a member of the Midway Kennisington.
Survivors include her sons, Kent Hubbert and wife, Robyn, of Kearney and grandchildren Kelsey and Brian; Keith Hubbert and wife, Pam, of Lansing, Kan., and grandson, Max; Kevin Hubbert of Mitchell, S.D.; daughter, Clarice Boston and husband, John, and grandchildren, Jeb and Haley.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her sister, Miriam Ansbach.
Funeral services were May 29 at the First United Methodist Church in Kearney with the Rev. Gary Main officiating.
Burial was in the Kearney Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to First United Methodist Church in Kearney.
