Marvin Walberg - January 29, 2012


Marvin W. Walberg, 83, entered into God’s care on Jan. 29, 2012, in Lincoln.
Marvin was born March 11, 1928, in Minden to Alfred and Clara Marie (Anderson) Walberg.
He graduated from Minden High School in 1945 and entered the U.S. Navy shortly after. When he was discharged from the Navy, he worked as a mechanic in Hastings.
He met his wife, June Fearn, while working in Hastings and they were married June 26, 1949.
He and June began milking cows and farming about 50 years ago near Hastings and then moved their dairy operation to southeast Nebraska.
He was a member of the Palmyra American Legion and the Sprague Community Church.
Survivors include his wife, June, of Lincoln; son, Ron and wife, Sally, of St. Louis, Mo.; daughters, Candy Phillips and husband, Ralph, of Omaha; Paula Hall and husband, Ed, of Panama and Kim Lewis of Lincoln; grandchildren, Jennifer, Lori, Julie, John, Brent, Cathy, Jill, Josh, Misti, Ryan, Jamie, Dani and Sami; great-grandchildren, Mercedes, Lincoln, Hailey, Mackenzie, Elisa, Alex, Harrison, Connor, Maleah, Zoey, Tyler, Trevor and Brooklynn; sister, Shirley Ekvall; niece, Valli and nephew, Brad, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Theresa, Sandra, Rochelle, and Lenora (Pat); brother-in-law, Craig.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law, Ray, Larry, Gary, Tommy, and Gail; and sisters-in-law, Linda and Leona.
Celebration of Life services were Feb. 3 at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Memorials are suggested in care of the family for later designation.
